Behavioural & Personality
Assessment of Children

Gedrags- en Persoonlijkheidsdiagnostiek bij kinderen

Child assessment is framed within a transactional model of developmental psycho(patho)logy. Using a hypothesis testing, multimodal approach, the specificities of behavioural and personality evaluation of children and their families are developed. Students actively study the assessment process along with a relevant selection of instruments through case presentation and exercises in class, thus covering the fields of intelligence, social-emotional and personality, family and neuropsychological evaluation. Moreover, students indidivually train their psychodiagnostic skills during the semester by forming a portfolio in which they carry out a complete behavioural and personality assessment of a child and its family.
