MILMO WORKSHOPBrussels, 16-17 November 2004 |
The Belgian Federal Science Policy Office and the MILMO research group organize a workshop to be held in Brussels on November 16 and 17. Theme of the workshop is Modeling the evolution of climate and sea level over the third millenium. The principal aim of the meeting is to present research performed within the framework of a Belgian community coupled climate model, called 'LOVECLIM', focusing on aspects of future climate change. The pressing issue of global warming will be discussed with invitees from national and international research institutes. The venue is the Campus of the VUB (Vrije Universiteit Brussel). The meeting starts on Tuesday November 16, 2004 at 14:00 and continues the following day, November 17, until noon.
The workshop will be held in the Promotion Room (Room D.2.01 in building D) of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), situated on the campus of the VUB in Etterbeek. The first session starts on Tuesday, November 16 at 14:00 and will end at around 18:00. The second session starts on Wednesday, November 17 from 9:00 until around 12:30.
People who want to attend the workshop should preferably send an email to Philippe Huybrechts (phuybrec@vub.ac.be) mentioning attendance to Session 1 (Tuesday), Session 2 (Wednesday), or both. Registration is free (preferably before November 12, 2004). Anyone interested is welcome.
Abstracts are available through the title link.
