About me

I am a Mathematical Engineer, currently at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) as postdoc. In 2007 I received a degree in Electrical Engineering (Burgerlijk Werktuigkundig-Elektrotechnisch Ingenieur) from KU Leuven, Belgium. In September 2013 I obtained my PhD at KU Leuven, ESAT-STADIUS, with a project on solving systems of polynomial equations with the use of linear algebra and realization theory. Since October 2013 I am working at VUB on tensor-based methods for nonlinear modeling.

  • VTK Gouden Krijtje 2015-2016 ‘Beste Assistent’ in Master Wiskundige Ingenieurstechnieken (WIT). Award by students MSc Mathematical Engineering, Vlaamse Technische Kring (VTK Leuven).

  • PhD fellowship awarded by the Agency for Innovation by Science and Technology (IWT Vlaanderen) for “Concepten en Algoritmes voor de identificatie van dynamische systemen” (four year PhD salary with bench fee), 01-2009 — 12-2012), promotor B. De Moor.
