Since April 2015, I am Research Scientist in Yahoo! Research, conducting research for Yahoo Gemini advertising platform in Sunnyvale California. My current research falls in the domain of recommender systems, representation learning, and topic modelling. From 2012 to 2015 I was with Yahoo! Labs Barcelona.
Before joining Yahoo, I was Research Scientist at Xerox Research, in Grenoble, France from 2010 to 2012. There I have been working on multi-modal and active learning, and contributing to the patent portfolio of the company.
Before, I completed my Ph.D. in computer science at University of Brussels, on the subject of machine learning and kernel methods applied to graphs: Novel Measures On Directed Graphs and Applications to Large-Scale Within-Network Classification. I was working under the supervision of Professor Marco Saerens from Univerisity of Louvain and Professor Hugues Bersini from University of Brussels with who I have been teaching Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns.
I received undergraduate degree and master degree in Computer Science from University of Brussels in 2003. I received a Master degree in Bioinformatics also from University of Brussels, in 2006.
